Native Plant Wholesalers is a large production nursery located in Mount Gambier, SA, wholesaling Australian native plants across the country to independent garden centres, chain stores and landscapers.

The business has been established for over 40 years developing a unique brand with an extensive range of the highest quality plants that the Australian flora has to offer.

Phillip Dowling, owner and director, has turned his passion for Australian native plants into one of the leading production nurseries in Australia with his dedication and determination to succeed. Alongside Phillip has been long time Nursery Manager Jason Dawe and together they have built Native Plant Wholesalers to what it is today. A modern facility that keeps looking at ways to improve.  We employ around 40 staff as we pride ourselves on being community and industry leaders

The nursery propagates at least 70% of the stock on site with approximately 15 acres under production.  The combination of outdoor growing bays, two multi-spans and a propagating greenhouse ensure the best conditions for each variety.

Each year the nursery produces roughly 1.5 million plants through various sizes from tubes through to 300mm standards, however 140mm pots are our most common size.

Native Plant Wholesalers has been a long-standing member and sponsor of the Nursery and Garden Industry in both South Australia and Victoria. Since the year 2000 we have been accredited under the NIASA scheme for Best Practices guidelines and over the years have won many awards including Best Production Nursery in SA.
